Cat Lounge!
I went to a cat lounge last night. Yes, a lounge, not a cafe. It was funny because it was midnight, and you're walking into a club-like environment with a DJ. People are dancing, drinking, and having a good time, but you can almost point out the people who are only there for the cats. Or maybe cat people just know when they see another one of us (my wife and I have three cats).
You had to walk to the end of the club and sign a form, and then they walk you through two separate doors. Boom! You are in cat paradise! There were 25 cats running around and some of the coolest cat art I have ever seen. (This will be on my vlog soon.)
All the cats were friendly and outgoing. I finally got to pet a hairless cat. It wasn't a slimy, weird experience like I thought it would be. It felt like petting a fuzzy peach that had the temperature of 100 degrees, with a purr and a heartbeat. They were some of the most curious and outgoing feline friends there.
The atmosphere was relaxing and had the vibe of a coffee shop. Even though it was midnight on a Friday in the middle of the city, everyone was calm, almost talking in a whisper, just cuddling with cat pals and listening to lofi jams. It really was just what the doctor ordered.
