Catch You Later Gumshoes!
I set a New Year’s goal to do a puzzle-like game every morning. Last year, I finally learned how to solve Sudoku. For Christmas, I got the Murdle: Volume 1 book — a collection of murder mystery puzzles. I’d never heard of it until I ripped open the wrapping paper.
So far, I’ve done one every morning, and it’s a lot of fun. It plays out like an actual book with an ongoing story. The storyline is a little cheesy, but it’s a nice touch considering murder is such a dark theme. I believe it started out as a web browser game, though I haven’t looked into that yet.
It took me a moment to figure out how to solve the puzzles, but now they’re getting a bit too easy — and that’s okay, because I know they’ll get harder later. There’s nothing like solving a murder first thing in the morning with a mug filled with water. I don’t drink coffee anymore, so I just use a coffee mug for water instead.
As I mentioned in my last post, I’ve started sharing my stories and poems elsewhere. I quickly set up a Substack account and I’m still learning how it works, but here’s a link to a poem I wrote. If you like it or have questions about murdle send me an email. It's on my Home page.
Have a great day, and get yourself a copy of Murdle!
Catch you later, gumshoes!
